As a Security Engineering Manager, you'll help your team protect network boundaries, keep computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and provide security services to protect highly sensitive data like passwords and customer information.
The Detection team handles malicious activity on Google's networks. We perform analyses of threats on our corporate, production, and acquisition environments.
We help Google respond to advanced attackers (APT) and insider threats.
As Security Engineering Manager, you'll help your team innovate and execute the practice of detection, automated systems development, and analyzing and responding to the detected events.
You'll use your technical skills to understand, discuss, design, and prioritize technical trade-offs and implementation work.
In this role, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects to detect information security threats in Google production systems.
You'll engage with software, infrastructure, and security technology and contribute technical expertise and management ability to drive the build out of scalable security mechanisms in one of the most complex environments in the world.
