Rewards & Recognition Job Purpose : The Master Data Specialist supports all Vendor, Customer as well as FI-CO related master data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
The Specialist will also work on special projects related to accounting and reporting in support of NGSC Finance Team as assigned.
The specialist functions as a SAP and JDE super user which ability to collaborate and influence across various functions on aspects related to Master Data.
Key Responsibilities Service Delivery
Support transitions and knowledge transfer
Provide services at expected levels with a clear customer service orientation and escalate exceptions
Strong analytical and problem solving skills (passion for data and accuracy)
Interact proactively with all functional areas to ensure appropriate and accurate master data setup in systems.
Proactively challenge the Status Quo, making fact based recommendations
Respond to internal and external inquiriesManage day-to-day activities :
Assure data change / addition requests are properly completed with required approvals.
Support Divisional and NGSC customers by completing and reporting Master Data changes in scope
Ensure all accounting processes comply with Novartis standards and policies (i.e. global processes, Novartis Accounting Manual, Novartis Financial Controls Manual, Management Authorization Levels, etc.)
Assist NGSC accounting and reporting team in all SAP ERP and SAP BI related process improvement initiatives.
Provide NGSC with functional and process expertise within SAP Finance and Controlling (FI / CO) module and BI integration.
Facilitates daily interaction and project work between NGSC and Divisional Finance teams and with local / global Divisional IT, ERP Competency Centers.
Identify system and process improvements to harmonize and standardize processes to optimize investments made in global ERP / SAP systems and financial services.
Ability to work in virtual teams across NGSCs, Divisions and Global teams. This Job Offers :

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Accounting / Finance or equivalent.
Candidate must possess minimum 2 years of Financial experience preferably in the healthcare industry and / or multi-divisional consumer products environment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
Strong and demonstrable customer service ethic
Strong knowledge of SAP / JDE knowledge and its Master Data functions specifically around set-up and maintenance of General Ledger Accounts, Profit Centers and Cost Centers in an SAP ERP R3 environment and how reporting structures are configured and maintained
Experience in financial accounting and reporting, auditing and financial process engineering, with record of strong control focus
Experience in working on process improvement projects preferred
SAP project implementation and / or production support experience preferred
Proficient in Mandarin language and English as this role will require constant communication and dealings with our business partners and counterparts in the region
