Role Purpose :

Are you an experienced Senior Program / Project Manager looking for an exciting career with Lonza? As a Global Program Manager, you will have full responsibility and accountability for coordinating multiple customer programs across multiple technologies and / or sites.

The Global Program Manager Key accountability is the overall success in delivery of projects, resulting in full customer satisfaction, streamlining communication and governance, facilitating issue resolution and providing a global view of project / portfolio execution.

You are the single point of contact for the customer ensuring that all the parties involved in the global program are well coordinated in all the operational aspects.

The Global Program Manager works across technologies / sites with local Program Managers to ensure alignment and has a very strong connection to Customer senior representatives and Lonza Account Manager.

Key Accountabilities and Duties :

  • Lead SCPM internal project execution as defined to drive change, improvement and implementation. Direct, lead and motivate multi-
  • disciplinary project teams and hold team members accountable to deliver results within an agreed project governance structure.

  • Program Manager Uses in depth understanding of multiple functions and strong relationships with these functions during the execution.
  • Development of defined standard project schedules for CGT by alignment with execution functions and Proposals. Rollout and training of CGT PMs related to standard project scheduling.
  • Drives selected program issues together with the PM and Site involved to resolution.
  • Planning, support for the preparation and execution of program strategy reviews aligned with the SCPM standard work.
  • Most of the time spends in the location, where work is executed but from time to time Program Manager may travel to customers or conferences.

    Furthermore you have the following skills, experience and qualifications :

  • Degree in Life Sciences or other relevant studies and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years plus previous relevant experience in core project / program management
  • Deep expertise in best in class Program / Project Management methodologies and practices in Life Sciences and / or the CDMO (Clinical Development and Manufacturing Organization) sector
  • Solid track record as a leader, developing others and encouraging growth within the function
  • Strong relationship builder
  • Solid experience engaging customers at the most-senior levels and internally across a global and matrixed organization
  • Deep knowledge of Project Management methodologies, PMP, Prince 2, Agile is preferred.
  • Sophisticated understanding of key business drivers globally, leveraging these insights to drive sound and timely decision making at the right organizational levels
  • Fluency in English and German is preferred.
