Your field of responsibility

You will support awareness of macro-trends that drive risks to the Group’s credit and country risk portfolios, and facilitate the integration of relevant insights into risk management tools and controls.

You will define requirements for timely warning and action on relevant portfolio risks, and drive identification of credit and country portfolio-relevant scenarios.

You will contribute to thematic deep-dives; help define requirements for portfolio early warning indicators; and support periodic reviews of high-focus countries and industries.

The Global Credit Portfolio Management team provides second line of defense oversight to the constituent credit risks in the Group’s credit portfolio across single name, industry, product, rating and country.

You will become an integral part of our growing and dynamic team, which has a physical presence in Europe and collaborates closely with other functions across the globe.

Your future team colleagues have a variety of professional backgrounds, from credit risk management to data science, and value diversity in skill sets and experience.

Your skills and experience

  • You are an economist with a strong quantitative background and broad interest in macro-trends and their potential portfolio impact.
  • Master’s or PhD in Economics, Finance, Political Economy, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience (e.g., financial corporate, market intelligence firm, international financial institution, central bank, or think tank)
  • Strong ability to formulate interesting questions on macro-trends and execute on them with a high degree of autonomy and creativity
  • Strong engagement in external specialist networks, and willingness to cultivate internal specialist networks within the bank
  • Interest in applying macro-analytics to credit and country portfolios
  • Strong quantitative skills (statistics, econometrics) are required
  • Knowledge of R, Python, and / or VBA is a plus
  • You combine analytical and problem solving skills, can explain sophisticated concepts in an accessible way, and have excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
