As a Manager of VIP Access in the Portfolio Analytics team of ARM, you will work closely with senior leadership to support and help steer the VIP Access program.

The VIP Access program connects hotel partners around the world with Expedia’s most loyal and valuable customers. Hotels provide VIP treatments in exchange for greater marketing opportunity with the elite tier loyalty program members of Expedia, Inc. brand travel sites.

You provide strong analytic regimen across VIP Access to help shape this program and help in communication of analytics in partner and stakeholder meetings.

With a focus initially on building performance and incrementality models for the program’s value proposition, you will partner with VIP Access leadership to develop optimal approaches to be used and ensure monitoring and steering needs are effectively implemented.

You will be sitting within Expedia’s global Analytics and Revenue Management group (ARM), with the opportunity to evolve into a range of exciting roles to help steer Expedia’s success globally.

Given the high visibility and wide exposure to Expedia’s business, ARM also serves as a talent pool for the wider organization.

To be successful in this position you will be entrepreneurial and able to operate with minimal guidance while owning end to end deliverables.

As part of this, you will handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establish priorities, and drive delivery of high quality outputs in a dynamic work environment with overlapping deadlines and short time constraints.

In this role you will :

Partner with VIP Access Leadership team

  • You will establish trust and a collaborative working relationship
  • Understand management needs and hypothesis
  • Understand the economics and key success factors of the VIP Access program, including the estimation of the optimal partner footprint, identification of customer behaviors and quantification of customer satisfaction and repeat business value
  • Support the steering of VIP Access and Account Management teams to drive the success of the program
  • Create information flows to support business execution

  • You will assist the business decision-making process by developing analytical models to size various business opportunities
  • Create compelling presentations for both internal and partners
  • Clearly and concisely present strategic and business aligned recommendations
  • Fulfill ad-hoc requests for data and analysis
  • Proactively analyze information to help navigate the business

  • You will develop an in-depth knowledge of relevant data sources and business intelligence
  • Illustrate key trends through effective data interpretation and visualization
  • Help drive business impact through analytical guidance and reporting

  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s / Masters or other advanced degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Maths / Hotel Management or other technical field desired
  • Four or more years of experience in an analytical role, with strategic consulting experience a clear plus
  • Demonstrated high performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence
  • Experience handling projects with leaders based in multiple countries and time-zones within a matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; the ability to present to key stakeholders (PowerPoint)
  • Hands-on analytical experience, including experience in SQL database querying, and analysis through analytical tools such as Tableau, Excel, R, Python or other equivalents
