Would you like to be part of a team that is redefining the IT industry? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and looking for a world class candidate for an exciting new role to lead the strategy, development and growth of the ISV community in Switzerland.

As the market continues to transform at pace, AWS needs to accelerate how it services the ISV community to enable them to deliver their differentiating software solutions by leveraging the leading technology platform and through modern distribution methods.

This position is a fast-paced opportunity for someone to apply their experience at the forefront of disruption. Today AWS services power many of the most significant ISVs.

We have enabled them to move to and build on AWS and supported them in partnership as they have grown. This role will be key to building further joint business with them as well as enabling a broader set of ISVs.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the intricacies and requirements of an ISV and have experience of both selling to and partnering with them.

The ideal candidate has probably worked client side in an ISV or has entrepreneurial experience. The ideal candidate also has direct sales experience, leading and building teams to over-achieve quota by growing revenues in existing customers as well as penetrating net new accounts.

They will understand the technical and practice requirements and have experience growing and leading teams with those skills.

Finally, this leader will drive engagement at the CXO level and build and lead the business development and technical team that engages with IT leadership, Alliance and Marketing / Sales executives.

This person is an influencer by nature and must be seen as someone the partners are enthusiastic to interact and communicate with.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Programmatically help our ISVs to build solutions, capabilities and adopt AWS services.
  • Executive engagement to assist our ISVs understand, plan and execute the adoption of cloud technology for their solutions.
  • Build and execute strategic go-to-market plans with our ISVs to expand their business.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Several years of enterprise technology sales as well as experience selling to enterprises, startups and digital businesses.
  • Business acumen to comprehend customer strategy and industry business drivers.
  • Proven track record to achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Target orientated individual with demonstrable sales experience dealing with B2B customers having demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent communication / interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact with customers, with verbal and written communication, analytical written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to characterize value of products / some technical knowledge
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity
  • Educated to degree level or higher
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A deep understanding of the intricacies and requirements of ISVs and their businesses.
  • Strong understanding of traditional SDLC and emerging Agile / DevOps approaches for accelerating change and innovation.
  • Experience as the account manager managing several accounts working with multiple business units and technology teams.
  • A BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in driving the adoption of new technologies and solutions preferred.
  • A strong understanding of AWS and / or technology as a service would be preferred but not required.
