We are looking for a customer service & team-oriented addition to our existing software installation team in Steinhausen.
In this diverse and challenging position you are responsible for on-site and remote software installations and upgrades of all Varian Software products, which includes troubleshooting and diagnosis as needed.

Works with physical and virtual environments, operating systems, databases and other software and networking technologies
Reviews scope of work for assigned tasks to ensure all hardware and software components are available
Reviews customer IT infrastructure and project plans to ensure they meet documented installation requirements
Completes all necessary task documentation to meet Varian’s Quality processes and procedures
Maintains customer system inventories using Site Equipment Configuration documentation or equivalent
Keeps current on Varian products and technologies through both internal and external training and certification
Teams with project management, local service and hardware installation teams to provide world class customer service
Demonstrate equipment operation and specifications per defined acceptance procedures
May facilitate training and mentoring of new installation representatives
Graduate of Technical Institute or University in computer science, biomedical engineering or related fields
Profound knowledge of Windows based operating system, especially Windows Server 2012 / 2016
Knowledge and experience of TCP / IP networks, including security aspects
Understanding of Relational Database Management Systems and SQL database engines (e.g. Sybase, MS SQL)
Previous experience in field service preferable
Certification on Citrix technologies preferable
Completion of external VMWare training classes preferable
High willingness to travel abroad in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in Middle East and CIS countries
Fluency in German and in English, both written and spoken
You have a proactive attitude with excellent planning skills and customer focused attitude. You are able to work independently as well as a part of a team.
