At Avantor, we have strong onsite teams that support clients in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage and scientific research sectors, among others.

Currently, we are looking for an EU Regional Manager Laboratory & Production Services to become an inspiring leader that will be responsible for the growth, profitability, and management of all associates and customers in our LPS organization within Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, France, Portugal and Spain.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES+ Acts as a liaison between Customer, Sales Team, Strategic Partners and EU Director LPS + Overall responsibility for performance delivery within region in line with contractual agreements and Service Level Agreements + Works cross-functionally with all business units to share best practices and drive value for the customer + Works directly with Onsite Services Leadership on business opportunities for new and existing business across key account customer segments + Manages budget, expense reports, revenue growth, TOE reduction and regional P&L + Responsible for reviewing and approving the leadership team's project plan(s) to ensure LPS growth projections + Responsible for managing specific projects, processes or systems and providing advice on related internal systems used within LPS + Will participate and contribute to specific functional or cross-functional activities + Establishes and continuously reviews goals and objectives for leaders and their region to insure they are in line with the overall corporate goals and objectives + Reports on actual performance vs.

  • established goals and objectives; supports continuous improvement and productivity practices across the EU + Coach, motivate, develop associates at all levels to successfully perform role requirements and develop succession plans across region + Utilizes direct reports to develop regional team in : + Policies and Procedure development / review + Harmonization and standardization of processes and procedures across LPS business units + Direct Customer Partnerships;
  • building and maintaining relationships with key customer / stakeholders for long term growth within the business + Meets internal goals and objectives around business growth, solution development and transformation by effectively executing with responsible team(s) + Partners with the EU Director of Business Development to develop and support new business opportunities + Lead RFP responses utilizing the extended team across the EU / US in the most efficient and effective manner + Develops and secures new services business with service assessments, analysis, costing, proposal development and detailed presentations to customers and internal stakeholders + Drive region safety goal(s) and support Avantors' safety processes / culture across the Region + Develops and improves culture of Scientific / Operational excellence within the Region + Challenge the "as is" across Region and wider LPS services YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES+ You have successfully obtained a scientific degree or have proof of multiple years of work-experience in a laboratory environment preferable in a specialised scientific discipline or regulated environment + You have proven practical leadership qualities and ability to lead a diverse team through change, organisational transformation and daily service operational demands.

  • You have proven excellent customer service focus and ability to work collaboratively + You are experienced in account development and implementation + You are able to partner with other teams and suppliers and deliver results in a matrix environment, managing multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders YOUR EXPERIENCE+ You are able to adapt emerging best practices and industry innovations + You have outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem-solving capabilities + You are proficient in data capture, analysis and reporting utilising various IT systems + You have an understanding of how teams interact internally and externally within a matrix organisation and how they contribute to the objectives of the business YOUR KNOWLEDGE+ Knowledge of SHE requirements in a laboratory environment + Six Sigma Lean Training a plus + Knowledge of GLS and GxP regulations, audit requirements, deviations / CAPAs + Detailed knowledge of Project / Program Management YOUR PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS+ You are self-motivated, self-managed, energetic, dependable, a clear attention to detail + You are flexible and adaptable + You have the ability to display forward thinking + You have strong presentation / communication skills, written and verbal + You are willing to travel throughout the EU + You are fluent in English and one of the following languages : Swiss / German / Dutch / French / Spanish OUR OFFER This opportunity not only offers the chance to work in a dynamic team but also in a company that is looking to expand its services.
