For our Group Control department, we are urgently looking for a


who will report to the Financial and BI Systems Director (Group Control) & leader of the Symphony Project.

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Symphony project. He / she is the reference person for the group financial reporting area as covered by the projects objectives and detailed project plans.

This position is exposed to various stakeholders across the SGS organization involving associates from the corporate, regional and local organizations as well as external consultants.

The role provides proactive support and leadership in the execution of the finance related activities and adds value by ensuring timely and high quality delivery of the project objectives.

Specific responsibilities

Oversee, coordinate and drive the tasks andactivities in the financial reporting areas, according to the project objectivesand plans, in the following areas :

Develop and update the global Chart of Accounts(CoA) with a focus on balance sheet and profit & loss account by nature inEPM1

Ensure alignment between the global CoA in EPMand the operating one in ERP2

Develop and update the global CoA descriptionsin the Global Reporting Policy (GRP)

Support the SGS countries in mapping thevarious local ERP CoAs to the global CoA in EPM and ensure consistency acrossthe organization

Ensure proper and consistent financialreporting in EPM versus ERP

Drive and coordinate any other activities inrelation to the financial reporting

Track progress against objectives,proactively identify actions to ensure smooth delivery and communicate progressregularly within the project team and in the organization, as needed

Work together with various stakeholders,including external consulting partners, in defining detailed deliverableswithin the accounting and financial reporting area to ensure successfuldelivery of those

Proactively communicate internally andexternally and demonstrate a collaborative approach to drive effective teamwork

Actively contribute to workshops, meetings,discussions using prior experience to enhance quality of output in both detaileddesign and in implementation activities, and proactively set collaborationmeeting events on a need basis

Liaiseclosely with IT and Finance Transformation teams to ensure full reportingprocess integration

1 Enterprise Performance Management (Oracle Essbase,HFM, Planning, etc.)

2 Oracle E-Business Suite (ConcordiaTemplate)


  • Qualified accountant (ACA / CPA), University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economic
  • At least 10 years of financial / management accounting and reporting experience, of which minimum 5 years in a large international and quoted company reporting under IFRS
  • Excellent knowledge of group accounting and related financial reporting / consolidation process
  • Strong computer skills and very good knowledge of reporting / consolidation systems (preferably Oracle / Hyperion)

    Strong technical financial / managementaccounting and reporting skills and knowledge
