Are you interested to join a newly created direct sales team in Switzerland and become a vital part of our growth journey?

This is your chance to develop your dedicated territory by taking care of your existing customers and winning new customers.

In this position you will manage a dedicated sales territory within Switzerland. This is a field-based position with home office and frequent travel across the dedicated territory of responsibility.


  • Responsible for managing and growing Cepheid business within the assigned geography for both customer accounts and prospect accounts including, but not limited to, hospitals, private laboratories and POC settings.
  • Drive a highly complex, multi-departmental, hospital sale, private lab or POC sale from the introduction of new diagnostic concepts through closure and implementation.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with Key Accounts in Private labs in Switzerland
  • Introduce and develop new testing in POC
  • Develop demand for, and adoption of, new assays and instrumentation.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships throughout the Institutions from administration to technicians.
  • Work closely with internal resources such as Field Application Specialist and Marketing to develop and implement customer & region -specific sales strategies.
  • Develop and deliver presentations and proposals
  • Host and assist with product shows
  • Manage customer data in the company CRM (Salesforce.com).
  • Achieve instrument and reagent sales goals

    Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in scientific fields of Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Virology or similar
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience in a sale position within hospital and private lab environment
  • Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling high value products
  • Expertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital sales is a plus
  • Knowledge and skills :

  • Solution selling / consultative sales approach
  • Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills
  • Customer focus and relationship building skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Have a sense of urgency
  • Skilled in Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Skilled using a CRM application(s) such as Salesforce.com or others
  • Other :

  • Fluent in German and English
  • Travel 50-75%
