In the role of the HR Business Partner Global Business Services (GBS) reporting to the global HRBP for GBS, you provide on-location HR support in the assigned groups to employees including managers to ensure effective and sustainable workplace relations and performance in close collaboration with HR network.

You partner with business leaders and provide strategic HR support and solutions to achieve and surpass business results.

In addition, you apply HR policies defined by the Group Centers of Expertise (CoE), including on Labor Relations as defined in each country with Country HR, and ensure local compliance.

The position is located in Baden, Switzerland, and covers various customer groups in GBS.

Your responsibilities

  • Implement people strategy and actions in line with global GBS function strategy and Group HR policies and guidelines
  • Provide training and communication on HR strategy, policy and processes, if required
  • Represent HR in the business entity, establishing strong relationships with employees and managers, act as consultant, sparring partner and coach
  • Actively participate in talent and leadership development and create an effective work environment in which everyone is motivated to perform at their best
  • Understand the business drivers, the current and long-term strategy and identify opportunities for HR to add value to the business
  • Act as partner with managers and employees to understand current issues that can be supported or resolved through HR practices, processes, or policies.
  • Counsel managers and employees on the most effective solutions to resolve issues

  • Facilitate and lead change : Ensure change management requirements are translated into actions that support the business strategy and plan
  • Develop and follow-up performance management activities, including poor performance improvement, PDA discussion, identifying training needs, termination, etc.
  • Support in implementing group and global recognition programs as needed

  • Support the achievement of optimal levels of attrition within defined parameters across business, assess employee engagement and morale and take actions
  • Oversee activities regarding labor relations and support the organization in labor management processes. Advise and proactively communicate with local managers, relevant HR stakeholders and the legal department regarding requirements in labor relations, forthcoming legislation, etc.
  • Your background

  • University degree in Human Resources Management and / or Business Administration
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in a transformation of an HR function is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships and act as a change agent in the organization
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and to make decisions in difficult or ambiguous situation
  • A flexible team player with a proven ability to work successfully in a large matrix reporting environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Availability to travel, if required periodically to other locations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
