Join us and make a difference.Based in Summit (NJ, USA) or Boudry (Switzerland), the Business Process Optimization lead is part of the Cell Therapy External Manufacturing organization and reports to the Director Business Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement.

This role is responsible for driving business process improvement initiatives via cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on business process automation.

Support development of a digital technology roadmap for External Manufacturing and acts as business project manager to drive prioritized initiatives.

As an expert in process excellence techniques (, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping), this role works with the Supplier Relationship Managers and Virtual Matrix Teams to identify areas for improvement with a focus on business process scalability, reliability, and cost effectiveness.

The role ensures that business processes for External Manufacturing integrate well with the end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain processes for Cell Therapy, and partners with key stakeholders (, Quality, Patient Operations, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, Finance, IT) to drive improvements.

Key job responsibilities : + Support development of the business process optimization road map for Cell Therapy External Manufacturing, including digital strategy & roadmap.

  • Work with the Supplier Relationship Managers and Virtual Matrix Teams to identify areas for improvement with a focus on business process scalability, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Lead business process improvement projects for External Manufacturing via cross-functional matrix teams.+ Support portfolio management of External Manufacturing process improvement projects and support prioritization process.
  • Facilitate alignment and decision making for ongoing projects with key stakeholders (, Quality, Patient Operations)+ Act as External Manufacturing business process SME and project member on cross-functional projects owned by other groups within Cell Therapy Operations.
  • Act as business SME for process automation, and partners with IT to translate business requirements into user specifications.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training (following regulations and industry standards)+ Support development and implementation of business process metrics to measure effectiveness & robustness of business processes+ Provide coaching and SME expertise on process excellence techniques & tools to External Manufacturing team members.
  • Required Qualifications and Experience + BS, MS in life sciences, engineering, supply chain or other relevant area.+ >

    10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with proven experience in business process optimization. Operational experience in external manufacturing and / or supply chain is strongly preferred.

  • Strong process management foundation (, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping), and demonstrated ability to mobilize these skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and easily works in cross-functional matrix teams. Demonstrated ability to manage and influence a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ERP and related IT systems, and ability to translate business requirements into user specifications. Experience in automating manual business process.
