What you can expect from us

  • Your primary focus will be on the management and delivery of SAP implementation project work to our banking and insurance clients, aiming to constantly meet and even exceed client expectations
  • You will own clear deliverables, support or / and lead SAP projects and start to develop strong long-term client relationships with the aim to be recognised as a trusted business advisor in the banking or insurance sector
  • To be successful in this role you will work as part of a team of FS industry specialists providing consulting services to major financial services firms, so you'll quickly build upon your existing industry knowledge to become an expert in your field

  • Your key accountabilities

  • Analyse business requirements for chosen IFRS IFRS17 and / or IFRS9 accounting policies
  • Develop SAP Financial Products Sub-Ledger (FPSL) implementation options and present the value case to product owners
  • Develop specifications for additional functionality required to be built outside SAP FPSL
  • Implement SAP FPSL configuration changes
  • Develop test scenarios to test implemented configuration changes or additional programming
  • Conduct actual testing and analyse results
  • Support any end-to-end integration testing of FPSL
  • Foster knowledge transfer to run the organisation and collect their input / feedback
  • Your skills, knowledge qualifications and experience

  • University degree (master's, MBA or PhD)
  • 5-10 year's professional experience in banking and / or insurance and / or re-insurance industry or with a consulting firm with a banking or insurance industry focus
  • Business and accounting understanding
  • Strong understanding of business requirements (banking, insurance and / or re-insurance), ability to document and communicate effectively to ensure the requirements are implemented / configured as specified
  • Practical experience in SAP Bank Analyser or / and SAP Insurance Analyser, Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) or / and Financial Services Data Platform (FSDM)
  • Project management experience in the implementation of SAP within the financial services industry
  • Profound knowledge of bank accounting processes and accounting standards such as IFRS9 or insurance accounting processes and accounting standards such as IFRS 17 and Solvency II
  • Strong understanding of the typical architectural system landscape within the FS industry (source, master data, general ledger, consolidation) and how the data flows from source to produce the required bookings, reports and interfaces
  • Knowledge of the agile project delivery methodology (sprint planning, JIRA, retrospective, etc.)
  • You work independently, take the initiative and are happy taking on responsibility
  • You have excellent SAP technical and analytical skills
  • You enjoy working as part of a team and your extensive experience with customers means building customer relationships comes easily to you
  • You would also be prepared to work abroad
  • You enjoy working with different people from different fields
  • You have the ability to work under pressure and to cope with peak time
  • You communicate confidently in German and English. Any further languages would be an advantage
