What You’ll Do
As Scientist Solid Technology, you are part of the Process Development department located in Sisseln, Switzerland. You are an expert in solids processing especially industrial crystallization and will actively participate in innovation projects and development activities.
You will find here a highly professional and motivated team, a well-equipped lab and piloting facilities and challenging tasks.
Your key responsibilities
The job combines scientific expertise in crystallization, filtration, centrifugation, drying and particle characterization with experience in scale-up, specific product and process technology know-how.
Participate in developing and applying specialist knowledge and expertise in innovation projects, process design and development activities, as well as provide support to production
Define, plan and conduct research activities through appropriate experiments at Laboratory, Mini Plant and / or Pilot Plant scale including validation of desk top simulations
Evaluate, analyse and report results
Transfer of knowledge to colleagues and production sites around the world
Contribute to the generation of new expertise and new concepts in the field of solid technology.

Your experience
PhD in Chemical / Process Engineering with specialization in solid processing (especially industrial crystallization) or MSc in Chemical / Process Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in similar area / industry
Experience in crystallization and associated PAT with sound understanding of all the mechanisms which govern the process
Good understanding of solid processes with ability to transfer into practice
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and towards strict deadlines without losing focus on accuracy and quality of work
Ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously
Good organizational, communication (level-oriented communication) and social skills are essential
Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
Fluent in written and spoken German and English (any other language of advantage)
