Program Manager

In 2020, Lombard Odier launched an ambitious transformation program called GX in order to modernize our technology platform while rethinking the user experience and our end-to-end processes.

This project covers both the redesign of complex legacy systems and the introduction of new technology building blocks.

As part of Lombard Odier Technology & Operations Unit, the GX program manager will report to the GX program director and his main mission will be in ensuring the successful delivery up to users adoption of multiple complex products or capabilities, within value, time-to-market and standards as defined by the GX program plan.

YOUR MISSON :

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Organize the communication of program goals, objectives, and business outcomes to stakeholders and IT teams;
  • Organize reviews with the GX Program Director and stakeholders to identify organic or specific program needs and changes and direct the development of appropriate approaches to address;
  • Support and facilitate agenda setting for program committees / board meetings.
  • Execution Responsibilities

  • Identify delivery-method and schedule deliverables, milestones, and required underlying activities and tasks in line with the overall GX roadmap;
  • Establish a work plan and staffing for activities, iterations, or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of delivery-personnel;
  • Assess, control the program budget, and manage expenditure within agreed spending processes and standards;
  • Monitor and coordinate dependencies across the projects in the program and resolves conflicts;
  • Conduct forward-looking risk assessment and propose mitigation options across GX deliveries;
  • Direct the creation and maintenance of the required program documentation and artifacts.
  • Reporting and Communication Responsibilities

  • Timely report to the GX Program Director on value, time-to-market, risks and funding (actuals and forecasts);
  • Lead the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communication, and reporting.
  • DESIRED PROFILE :

  • Master degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent-related IT experience;
  • Program manager training and certification a plus :
  • More than 5 years of progressively responsible IT experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving;
  • More than 5 years successfully managing complex and risky projects;
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams;
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodology and experience or familiarity with major, defined program management approaches (for example, PMI, Prince II or agile);
  • Significant knowledge of project planning / scheduling tools (clarity, Jira), with a solid track record of practical application;
  • Ability to manage parallel complex projects and deal with high level of constraints and pressure;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; expertise in setting and managing customer expectations;
  • Effective influencing and negotiating skills;
  • Ability to support a tactical resource plan by mapping future demand to forecast project completions in the project portfolio;
  • Fluent in French and English (both oral and written) ;
  • Residence in Switzerland or willing to relocate in Switzerland.
