To contribute to the growth of our team in Switzerland we are seeking a client facing, driven experienced consultant to compliment the Zurich office.

Ideally with the ambition to work in a smaller team currently going through a startup phase.

Your role

You will join our Financial Risk Management consultants at our Swiss office. This small team is part of the larger team Financial Institutions’ in The Netherlands.

Together with in total 60 Financial Risk Management Consultants, you will focus on financial risk related projects for banks, insurers and asset managers.

Most of the consultants (95%) have a quantitative background. Freedom, fun and flexibility play an important role in this team.

The colleagues could be described as self-starters who are eager to push their boundaries and constantly challenge themselves.

As a Senior Consultant you support the Chief Risk Officer and his / her team from risk strategy to implementation. You advise our clients surrounding statistical techniques, financial risk related complexities and technology advancements.

This demands a broad perspective and strategic thinking. Together with the team, you focus on financial risk related projects for banks, insurers and asset managers.

Four days a week you will work on-site at the client. On Friday you will work at our office in Bussum. On this day you will catch up your Zanders colleagues and join knowledge and training sessions.

This day also provides room to work on internal projects of your interest.

Your responsibilities

  • Advise our clients on their financial risk models, policies & governance
  • Support our clients in the implementation of risk based solutions
  • Develop, design and perform the quantification of risks
  • Translate (new) rules and regulations into business processes
  • Identify business opportunities for both existing and / or potential clients
  • Contribute to the knowledge sharing and development within the team
  • Skills to be successful

  • Completed Master’s degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance or similar
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience in the field of financial risk
  • Content knowledge surrounding ALM, market risk, credit risk and / or liquidity risk
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and programming tools
  • Fluent in English and preferably in Swiss German / German
  • Aspiration to work in a dynamic niche consultancy
  • Pro-active and entrepreneurial spirit, with a strong focus on team work
  • Open to travel, mainly within Switzerland but also the rest of Europe
