Under close supervision, you will classify, examine, and analyze accounting records, prepare financial reports and statements and perform special projects as assigned.

You will also support other accounting and external reporting activities.

How you will contribute

You will :

  • Support accounting and external reporting activities including accurate and timely U.S. GAAP reporting and timeliness and integrity of statutory financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, fixed assets, restructuring and intercompany charges.
  • As required, you will also support activities performed by Mondelēz International Business Services / third-party service providers during month / quarter / year-end close, statistical reporting and statutory audit

  • Contribute to a strong controls and compliance environment and comply with Mondelēz International’s AER policies. You will also support audit activities and provide information at an auditor’s request
  • Perform special projects and analyses as requested

  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in accounting and external reporting including understanding U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes and financial reporting systems (SAP experience preferred).
  • Knowledge in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reporting

  • BUSINESS ACUMEN and experience working in FMCG / CPG Industry or Big Four accounting preferred
  • LEADERSHIP SKILLS including strong communication skills. Team player with a drive to deliver results

    The Hedging Services Unit belongs to the Mondelez Finance and Control (F&C) Division and leads a centralized function for managing the companies’ international derivatives hedging activities, including derivatives position controlling, reporting, and accounting capacities.

    The team additionally supports the CPRM (risk management) teams in controlling their derivative positions (futures and OTC instruments) for a variety of commodities, including agriculture, packaging, and energy, as well as, ensuring full compliance and audit control requirements, to meet both internal and external regulatory and disclosure activities.

    Due to the variety of the current activities, regular contact with various internal functions, such as legal, treasury, and controlling is required.

    Equally important is maintaining a solid working relationship with our external bank and brokerage relationships.

    What you need to know about this position :

    The role is based in Zug, CH and supports the Hedging Services Unit with the following key activities :

  • Updating, monitoring, and controlling the daily hedging positions and the associated hedge portfolios
  • Initiating daily external margin payments and flows
  • Maintaining external contact to brokers / banks operations
  • Position management activities for all commodity derivatives
  • Maintaining inter-company activities and regional relations
  • Support of internal and external audit activities
  • Generating various internal controlling reports
  • Support of weekly and monthly reporting activities
  • Software administration back-up from a user perspective
  • Team back-up for key actions and deliverables

    Education / Certifications :

  • University Level Degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, or Finance)
  • Job specific requirements :

  • Minimum 3-5 years of solid commercial background and / or commodities experience preferred
  • Strong experience in excel spreadsheets, business software
  • Strong service orientation and problem-solving capacities
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and accountability of data capture
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage under time pressure
  • Strong interest in commodities and hedging / risk management
