Job Overview

The Supplier Quality Engineer (f / m / d) will be part of our Sensors Business Unit. His / her main location will be based in Pratteln (Basel) but this person will be also supporting our Sensors manufacturing side based in Bevaix (Neuchatel).

Reporting to the Quality Manager his / her main tasks will be :

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Collaboration in evaluation of suppliers for new projects
  • Qualification of suppliers
  • Carry out supplier audits and visits
  • Control of qualification measures for components and assessment of results
  • Development of suppliers regarding delivery quality as well as specification of requirements and standards
  • Process acceptance at suppliers and approval of prototype and initial sample parts
  • Processing of complaints to purchase parts as well as definition, review and tracking of improvement
  • Implementation of quality pre-planning for new (supplier) products according to APQP
  • Analyze manufacturing breakdowns according to 8D systematics and other suitable QM methods and procedures (Automotive Core Tools)
  • Enables product / material with quality deviations to be blocked, stopped and subsequently optimized processes
  • Qualifications and skills

  • Technical bachelor’s degree
  • Several years’ experience in supplier quality : supplier development, supplier audit, etc.
  • Auditor Qualification
  • Knowledge / experience with Automotive Core Tools
  • Six sigma experience
  • Independent and precise operation
  • Flexible, initiative and resilient
  • Language skills : German and English spoken and written
  • Good knowledge in MS-Office and statistics software (Word, Excel, Access and Minitab)
  • Travel availability approx. 25% (mostly Switzerland)
