About the role
Do you want to work as a product development specialist in an open and innovative environment, that enables you to be creative and to craft the future of insurance together with partners?
All you need is 5 years of work experience in primary insurance, for example as a product manager!
So this might be your next challenge :
Build easy-to-understand, innovative and often digital property products starting from the end consumers' perspective.
Supervise market developments, seek trends, evaluate rising consumer needs and perform competitor benchmarking to ensure adequate positioning of our products.
Build a portfolio of new solutions together, with our clients.
Support the solution development process from idea generation to commercialization and post binding activities.
Achieve client centric solutions through your knowledge of customer needs and your combined technical, sales and innovation capabilities.
Knowledge transfer : Guide, train and support your colleagues by sharing your in-depth knowledge of the reality of primary insurers.
Coordinate with legal and compliance departments to ensure new solutions meet standards and regulatory requirements.
Participate in sales pitches and creation workshops as part of a cross-functional team to onboard new distribution partners.
Act as technical advisor to other business units regarding insurance solutions across the whole value chain, with special focus on product development.
About the team
You will be part of a team of more than 35 property underwriters and innovation experts based across the four locations Zurich, London, Paris and Munich.
You will closely collaborate with relevant external stakeholders and internal functions such as client managers, business development, business management, and other experts passionate about meeting client expectations.
Comprehensive knowledge in primary insurance for at least 3 key markets in Europe or Middle East / Africa and a broad understanding is essential.
At least 5 years' experience in property / Nat Cat insurance including product development, tariff design, go-to-market strategies, primary insurance consulting, etc.
Excellent technical solution development expertise.
Good project management skills and experience in bringing insurance solutions to market and scale them.
Out of the box thinking, encourage others with your passion.
Team-player and self-starter with strong analytical abilities with a results-oriented and entrepreneurial mentality.
Creative personality and many ideas how to improve the current market practices and enhance the customer experience through simplified and transparent products
Hands-on, flexible and independent working style. Also embracing cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with distribution partners from different industries and backgrounds
Technology minded with a clear view on how technology can be used for customer friendly underwriting and more attractive insurance products
Commercially driven when partnering with distributors and driving product innovation.
Clear and effective communication with internal and external business leaders
Proficiency in English and at least one other EU language.
