THE ROLE Salesforce's Global Private Equity Practice works with our PE Partners to accelerate value creation in their portfolio companies through digital transformation, leveraging the Salesforce platform, ISVs and ecosystem.

Reporting to the Value Creation Services Leader, Global Private Equity Practice, your role will act as a digital value creation consultant for priority PE-backed portfolio companies throughout the whole pre-sales process.

You will be responsible for originating, designing and advising on complex digital transformation pursuits at Private Equity backed companies and acting as a digital advisor to our PE firm partners.

We consider many aspects, but believe there are two intrinsic personas who have proven to be successful in this role : The Consultant You are a confirmed digital transformation advisor, who served ambitious client-facing functions (marketing, sales, customer support.

  • Without authority, you have delivered enterprise-level business transformation engagements. You are adept at partnering and communicating up to the CxO level of an organization.
  • You have the ability to recognize needs, identify solutions, and leverage organizational expertise to close deals. You are comfortable with the discomfort of not having complete information, easy answers, or obvious solutions.

    The Digital Native Leader You grew up professionally with digital, delivering large marketing and sales transformation programs.

    Your background includes strategic thinking and delivery leadership within a digital consultancy or client organization.

    You know that customer success is achieved by translating complex business and technology problems into streamlined processes and outstanding customer experiences focused on growth.

    Where others see ambiguity, you see opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES Understand the depth and breadth of the Salesforce product suite and be able to co-ideate roadmap and solutions to accelerate time to value in Private Equity portfolio companies.

    Apply the depth and breadth of Salesforce Professional Services Methodology to act as a transformation advisor to Private Equity firms and to the PE portfolio companies.

    Support the account teams in charge to close deals with PE-backed companies with pre-sales diagnostics and client engagements from c-level to people in the front line.

    Organize and facilitate the weekly account reviews to efficiently swarm around a deal, a case, a project, a customer request.

    Support prioritized top pursuits through detailed industry / market research, Point Of View (POV) development and portfolio company analysis.

    Co-Design and deliver repeatable transformation plays by industry and by use case for PE-backed companies. Design and deliver enablement on Salesforce value creation approach / methods / tools to the whole Private Equity Practice Team.

    Collaborate with our broader sales, alliances, advisory and success teams to bring the full power of Salesforce to our PE partners.

    Be able to clearly articulate the value of Salesforce and Salesforce Private Equity Practice across B2B and B2C Private Equity owned portfolio companies.

    Understand the intricacies, politics, and strategies required to execute a partnership program Act as an advocate for the partnership within the Private Equity firm and at Salesforce.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Top-tier consulting firm background, ideally with exposure to PE, M&A, strategy, or digital transformation.

    In-depth experience in delivering enterprise digital transformation programs in either B2B or B2C. You will be confident discussing IRR, ROI, TCO, business case, marketing, and sales ROI in the context of LBO.

    You are proficient in developing C-level connections and gaining deep insight into the business dynamics of large complex enterprises and can help shape customers’ growth and change agenda, as well as foresee organization impacts brought by technology.

    You will have exposure to working internationally, both with international clients and on international teams. You will have exceptional communication, strategic, analytical, influencing, and consulting skills, as well as a track record of thriving in complex, multi-disciplinary teams.

    You have a high tolerance for ambiguity; ability to focus and execute in a rapidly changing environment, take charge and make things happen.

    You will be an independent, self-starter with a strong work ethic and personal drive, and character qualities that match with our company’s core values and inspire others to follow and act.

    You will have a superior ability to build and maintain positive working relationships. You will have a willingness to travel on as-needed basis >

    30% of the time. You will be degree educated with excellent business / professional English communication skills. DESIRED EXPERIENCE MBA / EMBA or equivalent Masters Degree in Economics, or Management Degree from a top institution Experience in value creation consulting services with Private Equity, Venture Capital or M&A industry Experience in dealing with complex governance models (Private Equity, portfolio companies, external stakeholders...)
