  • Job description : Medical science liaison / medical advisor looking to build and implement an agile disease / therapy awareness strategy including KOL engagement and content development to improve the lives of patients with heart failureKey responsibilities : Drive scientific discussions with senior healthcare providers with highly significant clinical and / or safety information to support the appropriate integration of device therapy in heart failure managementIdentify and build materials / strategies to address complex scientific / medical field-based information queries from health care practitioners and medical societies and build bridges to the referring communityAttend different medical congresses to stay up to date with scientific dataBuild, enhance and maintain the engagement with key opinion leaders and medical societies in the cardiology space to help shape the practice of medicineDevelop scientific education and presentations for referring physicians including providing input to digital content / websitesIdentify scientific opportunities to drive forward disease and therapy awarenessOrganize and execute scientific events such as symposia, other educational initiatives for healthcare professionalsOrganize and participate in local advisory board meetingsEducation and Experience : Physician with degree in cardiology preferred or PhD or Master’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacology or related life sciencesAt least four years as a practicing heart failure specialist / cardiologist at a leading university in Germany or 1-2 years minimum of previous experience in Medical Affairs with a medical background in cardiology;
  • heart failure experience preferredPrior experience interacting with German cardiology department leads and key German cardiology societiesRequired Additional Skills : Excellent command of the German language with strong English skillsWillingness to travel at least 30% of the time in Germany to engage key opinion leaders Experience in building and conducting physician education preferredAbility to understand and effectively communicate scientific and medical information to both internal and external stakeholdersCurious, strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial approach that seeks solutionsDemonstrated ability to get things done and strong sense of urgencyExperience in managing workstreams and / or vendorsClear communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal stakeholdersWillingness to adopt a start up mentality and flex across roles to drive team success
