Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Student Success Manage and educate children while helping them discover and fulfill their potential
Safety and Well-Being - Cultivate a creative learning environment and maintain a safe, inviting, and nurturing space for children, staff, and the community
Community Connection Enhance Peoria Unified’s culture which encourages and strengthens professional relations with co-workers, vendors, children, parents, the general public and others having business with the school District
Stewardship of Community Resources Adheres to effective policies, practices, and accountability of District resources
Requirements : A high school diploma or equivalent with a background in recreation, arts & crafts, sports, education or related fields.
Experience with school age children in a group setting. Possess and maintain necessary certifications, such as CPR and First Aid, food handler’s card and Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Additional Requirements :
A.C., C.D.A., C.C.P, or C.P.C. credential Minimum of 12 credits with 6 credits in early childhood and 6 months experience Associate degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or closely related filed & 6 months of childcare experience Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or closely related field & 3 months of childcare experience
