We are seeking to hire an Intern by February 2022 to work 80% for seven months. The successful candidate will work with our Multi-Asset team in Zurich and assist the Investment Managers.

Your mission

With your sound knowledge of economic issues, your feeling for the financial markets and your ability to operate efficiently on your own, you will have no difficulty fitting into a specialised team that will appreciate your motivation, quality-oriented approach, networked thinking and ability to grasp things quickly.

Moreover, your analytical skills and prudent way of working will enable you to remain in control, even when things become hectic.

Your sense of responsibility, pleasant disposition and strong sense of team spirit will also help you provide the necessary support for our own employees and external clients.

Your role

  • Providing assistance for Investment Managers : preparing the basis for decisions, administering portfolio and fund data, implementing investment decisions
  • Helping to respond to RFPs for the tendering of new mandates
  • Assisting with the drafting of financial articles
  • Analysing various data as well as working on specific portfolio management projects and research (portfolio optimisation, ESG, risk analysis and market indicators)
  • Interacting with the Investment Platform specialists at our Geneva head office
  • Improving and expanding the existing software
  • Your profile

  • Currently studying in your 4th / 5th semester at the UNI / ETH in Zürich
  • Able to work 80% of the working week or four full days per week
  • Very good basic knowledge of Excel and Visual Basic
  • Interest in financial markets and in developing models
  • Willing to carry out admin tasks and work as an assistant
  • It will be considered a plus if applicants have already completed internships in banking
  • Highly skilled user of common IT applications (MS Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
  • German mother tongue with a very good command of English; knowledge of French would be an asset
  • As the successful applicant you will be highly organised and quick on the uptake. You will also enjoy working as part of a team while still being able to operate efficiently on your own by virtue of your rigorous approach to work.

    Furthermore, you will value contact with different teams, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to show tact when necessary.
