Our global R&D Power Electronics competence center in Turgi, Switzerland, currently has an opening for an Embedded Software Engineer (f / m / d) (60-100%) for Power Converters.

In this role, you will contribute to software development relating to Medium Voltage AC motor drives and / or grid-connected converters used in various applications.

Your responsibilities

  • Work within a project team responsible for the full range of activities associated with the development of software used in AC motor drives and / or grid-connected converters.
  • Design embedded real-time software running on DSP, CPU, and / or FPGA
  • Contribute to software testing to ensure defined quality standards are met
  • Provide professional technical support for internal customers (Level 4, Commissioning)
  • Your background

  • BS / MS or higher in computer science or electrical engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Experience with C++ programming and object oriented design
  • Experience in embedded application design and implementation
  • Willingness to work in close collaboration with other team members (pair programming).
  • Excellent command of English, knowledge of German is an asset
  • Preferred qualifications :
  • Coding experience in Python
  • Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, Klocwork
  • Used Matlab / Simulink to simulate power electronics control systems
  • Knowledge in motor control, grid control
  • Experience in controller design
  • Experience in power electronics
  • Has programmed VHDL for FPGA designs
  • Has used hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments to verify designs
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience
