POSITION OBJECTIVES :
Developing Health-Economics models for vaccines in conjunction with external vendors
Create global value dossiers for dengue vaccine and other vaccines in development, in conjunction with external vendors
Support LOC HTA Submissions and payer negotiations
Support evidence generation activities for HTA submission.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Outcomes driven project management of key global Health Economic deliverablesStrategically drive the development of core health economic resources Global Value Dossier,) ensuring they meet local market access and HTA needsEffectively manage external consultants including RFP, selection, execution of contracts, budget management and active strategic guidance of the projects acting as the primary liaison for alignment of Takeda internal strategy and external project deliveryDemonstrate leadership of cross functional team and ability to drive resolutions in the cross functional review of the Global Value DossierDefine and communicate timelines with proactive mitigation of challenges via timely escalationAnticipate challenges and proactively enact solutions as necessary
Technically sound health economic, statistical and evidence appraisal skills to lead : Critical appraisal of clinical evidence for Value Proposition and HE modelling as well as HE model structure, inputs parameters, sensitivity analysesFinalization of the HE model and ensuring it meets both internal commercial goals and external payer requirements.
Development of complementary evidence to support HTA submissions with meta-analyses, ITC, MTC, RWE studies in collaboration with Medical Affairs, Epidemiology and other relevant functions.
Training of LOCs and collaboration on health economic projects :
Lead LOC training on material to support HTA submissions
Actively building and maintain knowledge of health economics challenges in the LOC markets
Frequent communication
Providing methodological and technical support
Actively seek opportunities to liaise and partner with members of global cross-functional teamsStrong focus on evidence generation in particular projects that may relate to effectiveness studies and potential reimbursement conditional approvalEnsure health economic projects are strategically aligned with other functionsBe a strong voice, helping to steer cross functional work to align on how best to support cost-effectiveness / access hurdles.
Externally focused mindset on building advocacy and awareness via publications
Role involves management of a number of publications related to country specific cost-effectiveness results and broader publication on the value of vaccines’
Strategic and big picture mindset required to stage publications in consideration of the evolving payer landscape.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS :
MSc / PhD in Health Economics / Epidemiology / Statistics.
Proven track record and significant experience of delivering HTA submissions and health economic models within a consultancy or pharmaceutical company
Proven ability for strategic thinking and working across the business to define, generate and deliver health economics strategy.
Excellent leadership and influencing skills with the ability to influence and challenge without line management authority.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Strong enthusiasm with a drive to succeed and the ability to work independently
Project management skills with ability to work on numerous projects in parallel
Display solid ethics.
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Excellent understanding of vaccines and dengue in particular.
Experience with HTA submission and access hurdles in Latin America and Asia Pacific
Experience with WHO and PAHO review
Motivated by demonstrating the full value of vaccines and shaping health economic movement on how better to address current hurdles.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :
Domestic or international travel will be required, approx. 20% of the time.
