To complete our team, we are looking for a Digital Engagement Manager, in this role, you will develop and execute the digital strategy of the Alimentarium to connect it to its audiences on a local, regional and international level.
You will federate and grow the communities around the Alimentarium through digital communication and content creation.
You will also monitor what these communities are saying about the Alimentarium on social media outlets, plan social media campaigns and report on the performance of those campaigns.
A day in the life of a Digital Engagement Manager
Designs and implements the digital strategies (including social media), processes and technologies needed to amplify and connect the organization’s assets
In charge of overseeing the data, security, maintenance and network of the Alimentarium
Sets the technological strategy for Alimentarium to enable it to achieve its goals and seeks out the current and future technology that will drive its success.
Responsible for customer relations, understanding the target market and influencing the delivery of digital projects accordingly
Drives technology to deliver customer excellence in UI and UX
Develop the content strategy of Alimentarium and ensures all content is created by the team, volunteers (the audience) and the various stakeholders of the organization
Manages the development, maintenance, and moderation of the website, online collection, and story platform
Stays abreast of evolving trends, tools, policies and methodologies in social media communication
Takes the lead in the digitization, optimization, and monetization of existing processes
Ensure all digital activities contribute to audience development and digital community building, together with the marketing and communications managers
Play a leading part in setting Alimentarium’s strategy and driving overall technological infrastructure
Drive the integration of digital thinking into all the organization’s activities and fostering a culture of innovation and creativity
Creates models, contributes to new technology, analyses target markets
What will make you successful
5 8 years’ experience in a similar role
Degree in related fields or equal formation
Comprehensive understanding of data management and analytics, processing, design and implementation of complex systems, software applications, hardware platforms and outsourced systems
Experience in digital community outreach / building and in creating networks with online and offline stakeholders
Extensive knowledge of digital media including social media
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Fluent in both English and French, German will be considered a strong asset
