    Are you a Buyer with proven procurement experience in a technical environment? Did you work already on IT and Network commodities within a telecommunication environment?

    Are you used to support and collaborate with engineers and driven by helping them sourcing all their needs? Are you a strong and skilled negotiator?

    In this exciting role, you will support Viasat’s European expansion by managing sourcing and procurement activities for data-centers acquisitions, network equipment procurement and roll-out in several countries as well as all IT related needs for the strategic projects but also to support the local offices needs.

    You will be responsible end to end of all sourcing and procurement related topics and will be autonomous to identify, follow-up and optimize suppliers.

    This will include RFP management, contracts negotiation / execution, statement of work negotiation / execution, PO issuance / management, supplier management and reporting.

    Your forward-thinking and ability to think outside the box will come into play as you will take part in developing and managing effective procurement strategies, participate in commodity management, and learn and develop strategies based on customer requirements and technology trends.

    Your excellent communication skills and ability to drive results and influence key stakeholders will allow you to communicate and assess daily issues.

    In addition, you will also establish and foster effective strategic supplier relationships to ensure performance and timely resolution of issues and negotiate and administer optimal terms with suppliers that consider, among other things, cost, quality and supply continuity in support of unique program requirements.

    RequirementsMin. 5 years of experience as a Procurement professional in an entrepreneurial, high-tech environmentProven experience on network and / or IT commoditiesUnderstanding of Procurement process and best-practices Experience with various types of service agreements and similar contractual toolsDemonstrated ability to develop and manage RFP / RFI needs for varying business requirementsSolid communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills Understanding with supplier performance management best practices Familiar with international suppliersExperience with ERP systems, such as OracleProficient user of Microsoft Office suite of business software is required : Word, Excel, and Power PointBachelor’s Degree in Business, Procurement and / or Supply Chain ManagementUp to 20% international travelFluent in EnglishSwiss, EU (25) Citizenship or Valid Swiss Work Permit requiredPreferencesExperience working with the IT network fiberExperience with ERP systems, such as OracleUnderstanding of P2P systems, such as Coupa or similarFluent in German.
