Energy Management Specialist (m / f) for our location in Zurich, Switzerland

We are currently looking to recruit an Energy Management Specialist for our team located in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Green Mobility Innovation (GMI) business nursery executes programs for developing new business opportunities from acceleration to commercialization phase.

The typical business nursery programs are developing new solutions and business models from TRL 4..6 (results from incubation) to TRL 7.

8, for priming the pump for Alstom’s business expansion, complementary to established product lines.

The programs are clustered along three themes :

Energy management

Emission reduction

Circular economy

As an Energy Management Specialist, you are going to lead and / or contribute to execution of business nursery programs.

You will work closely with other specialists, marketing, business development, bids and external partners as necessary.

Responsibilities :

Plan the project work for the own and other contributors work (deliverables, time, efforts)

Execute project work with incl. market analysis, technology trend analysis, define future commercial solution portfolio and value propositions

Evaluate legal / standards / norms requirements and trends

Prepare make / buy and partnering strategy as well as IPR strategy

Develop business plans, incl. external funding & tax

Prepare and lead studies to be carried out by consultants

Support pre-tender and tender projects.

Present and promote results to internal stakeholders, customers and other internal and external key market stakeholders.

Contribute to competency management with own internal and external network

Qualifications :

Relevant academic background, e.g. Master’s Degree in Engineering, Natural sciences, Economics, Physics.

5 years of relevant work experience in an industrial domain.

Experience with methods and tools such as TCO analysis, environmental footprint impact assessment, end-to-end value chain analysis, value proposition design, business plan development.

Good technical background with experience in field of traction and energy management systems is of advantage

Design thinking and similar innovation methodologies

Global thinking, business oriented, understanding market needs and competitive trends

Open minded and persevering

Desired competences : communication, teamwork, driving for results, planning, strategic vision.

Fluent in English and German.
