Matterhorn Biosciences is a preclinical stage biotechnology company pioneering the discovery and development of novel T cell therapy for cancer treatment.

As we continue to build the R&D team, we are looking for an experienced Scientist to support research activities of the Candidate Selection Group , Immunology department.
The role will require the precise application of a diverse range of laboratory-based skills. As such, the successful candidate will have significant research experience in T cell Immunology and be highly motivated, enthusiastic with a positive can do attitude, hands-on, strong organizational skills, and able to work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will further strengthen our team by contributing to the development of Matterhorn Biosciences. You will form a key part of the TCR Discovery program, building the infrastructure to sequence and clone novel MR1-specific TCRs and help propel our company forward.
Your role will be comprised of :
Functional assessment of immune cell activation, including flow cytometry, cytokine analysis and cytotoxicity assays
Developing novel and state-of-the-art multi-cell functional assays to identify lead candidates
Supporting the development and implementation of high-throughput cell-based assays for functional screening
Maintaining routine tissue culture of primary cells and cancer cell lines
Performing cellular biology techniques
As a member of our growing team, you will increasingly be expected to take responsibility for successful delivery on this core program, including project management, diligent documentation and presentation of results in internal and external meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have significant laboratory experience, along with a detailed understanding of the cutting-edge approaches used in a molecular and cellular immunology laboratory.
Specifically, we are looking for candidates with the following :
PhD in Immunology, or university degree
Experience in biotech or industry is a plus
Experience with transfection and / or transduction of human primary immune cells and cancer cell lines
Hands-on experience with assay development and high-throughput screening
Proficient at a range of cell biology techniques including but not limited to flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD and cytotoxicity assays
Know-how experimental design and ability to work independently
Able to work in a highly flexible environment
Able to communicate with team members and cross-functional project teams
Good English communication skills, both oral and written
