Senior Supplier Quality Engineer - Development and Transfers
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
To work in partnership with our diverse supplier network to develop, monitor and work supplier quality risks and effective improvements directly with manufacturers and supplier and process portfolios.
Introduce business improvement initiatives in alignment with Plant Network and Sourcing Strategies.Understand the capabilities and competencies of suppliers and work with them to implement appropriate development programs and be meeting and adapting to product quality and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate status and performance of relevant supplier portfolios, processes and systems, and drive systematic continuous improvements, supplier certifications, new product introductions and transfer activities.
Provide guidance and service to suppliers and internal Procurement, Quality, Compliance and Operations teams at site, regional and global levels.
Up to 20%-50% travel, including possible international travel.
Bachelor's degree required, bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Life Science or related discipline preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in GMP, FDA and ISO highly regulated industries, preferred in medical device, pharmaceutical, aviation / aerospace or automotive sector.
Supplier Quality and Continuous Improvement or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.Lead Auditor in ISO 13485 or comparable industry standard is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in supplier selection, qualification and monitoring activities in a product manufacturing environment.
Strong ability to work with mathematical and statistical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.Lean Six Sigma, Project Management and similar certification and extensive expertise required.
Advanced computer, IT and system skills (applications for Quality / Regulatory, ERP, PLM, Operations / Manufacturing, Statistical Applications etc).
Business fluency in German and English is required. Fluency in French / Italian advantageous.
