Senior Vice President, & National Director, Aon Global Risk Consulting and Risk Control Under the direction of the Executive Vice President, Western Canada, and in collaboration with Global Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC) and Risk Control, this role provides leadership, direction and management of a team of over 60 professionals nationally within AGRC and Risk Control.

Lead Teams to deliver unmatched services to our clients in risk advisory services, expanding the scope and size of this practice to meet client needs.

This position can be located in Toronto or Montreal. Job Responsibilities : Distinctive Client Value Develops and executes a high-

quality risk control and risk consulting practice that will cost effectively meet the present and future needs of our clients, company and prospects.

Works in concert with national leaders to ensure National Risk Control objectives are aligned to meet client needs and corporate business objectives.

Networks on a national and local level to support overall service delivery and growth objectives. Collaborates with national claims leadership to promote and foster mutually beneficial relationships and business opportunities between risk control and the claims function.

Risk Consultants support Clients’ Risk planning and development of comprehensive risk management programs Risk Assessment Experts assess, quantify and develop risk mitigation strategies for clients in hazard areas (property, liability, cyber, Business continuity, etc) Risk Actuaries leverage data and analytics to provide risk quantification and support risk decision making Risk Finance Specialists develop alternative financial solutions for Clients’ Risk goals (such as retention analysis, self-

funding strategies, captives, reciprocals, and other mechanisms) Team supports and draws on the unmatched global resources of Aon (over 1,000 staff focused in these areas globally) to support clients in all industries and geographies.

These teams collaborate in close partnership with colleagues focused on insurance, reinsurance, health and benefits, pension and data and analytics services at Aon.

Established relationships and brand with Canada’s Fortune 100 C-suite as a risk advisor Participates in special projects.

Operational Excellence Develops and executes an annual business plan approved by the Executive Vice President. Determines strategic actions as indicated by trend analysis reports generated from team(s) on a national / regional basis.

Leads successful implementation of future strategies in relation with national business needs. Implements national performance & service standards for all activities including the rollout of best practices and technical guides.

Maintains awareness of legislation, codes of practice and regulations pertaining to risk control and risk consulting functions.

Provides subject matter expertise for major risk control and risk consulting issues. Talent Management Manages and oversees the national talent including the management of yearly budgets and the resource plan.

Ensures talent is acquired, engaged, developed and deployed nationally as determined by client needs and demands. Able to develop strong teams -

a key aspect is strengthening the risk advisory skill set through our firm Actively assesses talent for development, engagement and succession planning purpose Establishes objectives, coaches, and counsels direct reports on the attainment of objectives and provides performance feedback.

Performs other duties as required About you As the Senior Vice President, & National Director, Aon Global Risk Consulting and Risk Control your skills and qualifications will ideally include : Education A university degree and graduate degrees preferred.

Certification in areas of Enterprise Risk Management (Finance, Engineering etc) but not essential if sufficient practical experience in risk management.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills Proven track record in an enterprise risk management role and experience of working in a Consulting Firm.

Preferably experience of working with Financial and Operational risks. Proven track record successfully leading teams through consistent double-

digit growth Highly adept at building relationships at all levels of the organization. Exceptional risk communication skills ability to translate complex risk issues into clear recommendations for clients Strong facilitation skills.

Persuasive and able to challenge constructively. Logical and able to analyze information (qualitative and quantitative).

Strong risk management knowledge.
