Provide input, implement and lead the innovation strategy that supports the business direction, goals and priorities, building the Mediclinic of the Future.
Build and maintain organisational and functional systems to establish open innovation platforms in each of the operating divisions in order to create agile innovation pipelines.
Identify, build and maintain mutual beneficial and contractual relationships with strategic innovation partners (e.g. start-ups, academia, industry leaders, etc.
in order to create viable business models and commercialisation strategies.
Manage and monitor a portfolio of innovation projects; anticipate and address current and potential obstacles by monitoring scientific and related industry trends to anticipate, identify and proactively react to emerging opportunities.
Institute and maintain governance structures to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements applicable to all the territories the Group operates in or chooses to operate in.
Lead and manage a high performance multi-disciplinary team by creating an environment in which innovation and creativity can thrive .
Completed Masters degree in Health Science, Business, Law or equivalent advanced degree
Significant experience in supporting or leading new product commercialization through an innovation process including ideation, testing, piloting, and bringing a product to market;
ideally three to five years’ experience in working within start up’s, innovation hubs, start-up incubators and / or accelerators.
Experience in a healthcare environment would be an advantage
Experienced in all facets of strategy realisation, solution design, product development and business growth through innovation
Understanding in leading highly complex initiatives from conception to commercialisation
Extensive experience in managing self-directed work teams
In-depth knowledge of and experience in one of the following : the South African, Swiss / European and / or UAE healthcare systems
Proficiency in English and either German, French, Portuguese, Spanish or Hebrew both written and spoke
