ABB develops, produces, and markets premium-quality PMA cable protection systems. Offering a range of high-end products designed in Switzerland, we are acknowledged as a market leader of global repute.

We are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager who will support the local PMA Business Unit / Product Group by defining and implementing marketing and sales strategies specifically aimed at entering uncharted markets, segments, and other strategic areas.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand into newly defined areas of business based on thorough market analysis and strategic astuteness
  • Coordinate road map for product marketing launch and ensure efficient and effective execution together with local partners
  • Provide market intelligence analyses in support of identification and development of new markets, segments, or solutions
  • Draw up design / technical specifications for PMA cable protection products in pursuit of market excellence
  • Ensure that budget and growth targets are met in respective countries, including key performance indicators such as NPV and NPS
  • Act as key interface between production and customers, in addition to identifying opportunities for business partnershipsYour background
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in a technical discipline and, ideally, training in electrical engineering plus further qualifications in business administration
  • Hands-on experience in sales and customer acquisition
  • Market and product expertise relating to the field of electrification
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, assertiveness, and ability to influence at all levels
  • Well-developed strategic and tactical skills
  • Results-oriented within specified and fully compliant business processes
  • Very good command of English and German, both written and spoken
