My duties

  • Responsibility for the management, planning, design, construction, commissioning and maintenance plans of cruise terminals and destinations new developments in order to ensure optimum results in terms of quality, budget and completion time
  • Work mainly with finance and legal teams to deliver of feasibility studies, cost estimates, drafting of terms of reference, engineering procurement, contractor procurement, contracting, contract management supervision, completion acceptance and dispute resolution, environmental considerations, ground condition assessments and more challenging engineering and procurement considerations
  • Select the consultants (PM, architect, engineer, surveys, QA / QC, etc.) through RFQ and competitive research (RFP)
  • Review of current conditions for existing cruise terminals and destinations to recommend short- and long-term plans and budgets to sustain the infrastructure in the appropriate condition
  • Ensure implementation of approved maintenance plans
  • Respect the assigned budget and control the schedule for an on-time delivery
  • Identify risks and put in place mitigation plans
  • Insure projects critical tasks and execution strategy are properly implemented
  • Reporting to the SVP Port Development and Shore Side Activities, build and manage a team dedicated to Port Development
  • My qualifications

  • Fluency in English, knowledge of any other language is beneficial
  • Master s degree in civil engineering or similar and Certified PM
  • Profound experience in the management of multiple international construction projects within a contractor organization
  • Experience as owner representative, experience as consultant is accepted or profound experience as large civil contractor
  • Extensive knowledge of port infrastructure construction (breakwaters, quays walls, dredging etc.) and of bildings construction (airports, commercial real estate, cruise terminals, hotels, mixed use facilities)
  • International experience in developments, from inception to delivery
  • Computer literate and proven ability to work independently and to identify the resources for every project
  • Capability to coordinate and supervise multiple projects in different locations, attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently and accurately
  • Strong communication skills with ability to discuss engineering issues with non-engineering managers
  • Very tactful with high level of diplomacy to enable successful interaction across a multi-cultural environment especially in joint ventures
