Senior Regional Category Manager, EAMEA

The Role :

The Blue Microphones Regional Category Manager is responsible to drive the category and marketing strategy for the Blue Microphones brand in the European & Asia Pacific (EAMEA) markets.

The position will be based in Lausanne, Switzerland and will report to the EAMEA Head of Marketing. The Regional Category Manager will partner with the local country teams to drive and develop the Blue Microphones brand across Europe and Asia Pacific.

The key approach is to embrace the global strategy and offering of Blue Microphones and to also understand the local market & consumer needs for the brand within Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Regional Category Manager will then be responsible to develop and execute the winning category and marketing plans to make Blue Microphones a success within the region.

The successful candidate must have solid experience in influencing and working with cross-cultural teams as well as the ability to engage and interact with teams in remote locations.

He or she will need to possess the experience to be able to work closely with country teams to drive product, channels, pricing and marketing planning across the region.

They will also partner with the Blue Microphones business group to provide key insights and direction pertaining to the European and Asia Pacific markets.

He or she must have strong experience in consumer marketing and demonstrate a passion and interest in understanding consumer needs as well as online and offline retail channels, with the following goals :

In this role you will :

  • Function as the primary focal point between local markets and the Blue Microphones business group
  • Lead the marketing plan (Online & Offline) development & execution for Blue Microphones across the region
  • Measure and report performance of marketing initiatives and assets against goals (ROI and KPIs) within the region
  • Ensure consistency in local market execution in line with the Blue Microphones regional strategy
  • Translate the Blue Microphones regional strategy into local market plans, brand positioning and go to market tactics
  • Analyse brand positioning, industry data, insights and consumer trends for Blue Microphones with the key markets
  • Monitor market trends, consumer research and competitor activities to identify opportunities and key issues
  • Have ownership and accountability for Blue Microphones category growth and revenue performance in line with the regional business objectives
  • Formulate the regional Blue Microphones product portfolio roadmap in conjunction with the Global Team and forecast planning & sales estimates
  • Manage pricing and margin strategy for Blue Microphones category in line with the local channel strategy
  • Key Qualifications :

    For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team :

  • 10+ years’ experience in consumer marketing, category marketing or in marketing management roles
  • Strong experience in working across cross-cultural teams and working with remote teams
  • Tertiary education in Business or Marketing preferred
  • Experience in planning and executing the marketing mix including managing 360 campaigns
  • Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • In-depth experience in understanding customer insights & attitudes that influence marketing planning
  • Ability to use quantitative data and metrics to drive strategic decisions and marketing activities
  • Self-motivated, passionate, high energy level open to travel across the region
