Data Scientist

DXT Commodities, for its Lugano office, is looking for a data scientist to strengthen the analysis team that supports traders of the Gas Trading desk.

Applicants should have at least two years of relevant working experience on modeling.

The position requires a passion for quantitative development but also strong communication skills, given the continuous interactions with Traders, Analysts and IT developers.

The successful applicant will have a key role in the construction of forecasting models to provide quantitative support to traders and analysts.

Tasks :

The statistical problems to solve will require :

exposure to time series analysis

functional data analysis

advanced Data Science

Requirements :

A PhD in scientific field (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Statistics) is considered a strong plus

At least 2 years of working experience in developing statistical models are mandatory

A knowledge of European Gas Market is a plus

Proficiency in Python

Knowledge of PL / SQL

Fluent in English, knowledge of Italian is positively considered
