    The Basel Branch Roche Diagnostics International, Diabetes Care employs over 100 people and is the head quarter of the business unit Diabetes Care.

    As a world leading supplier of system solutions for patients with Diabetes, the products provide health information to medical decision makers pivotal for early identification, diagnosis & monitoring.

    The role

    In this role, you will be accountable for providing robust expertise at assessing business intelligence, reporting, metrics and analytics for the RDC GSC Operations organization.

    You will collaboratively support the development, execution and visualization of GSCO dashboards, total cost-to-serve analyses and management review to enable data-driven decisions across GSC.

    Your broad understanding of supply chain business and technological trends allows you to exercise judgement of diverse factors requiring in-depth analyses to develop robust business cases to support solutions for the organization.

  • This position will provide systems and business application management experience by understanding business processes, designing and delivering advanced quantitative data analyses;
  • and making recommendations for improvements to drive operational effectiveness and transparent total cost to serve efficiency through business systems and / or applications.

    You will successfully drive delivery of total cost-to-supply (total cost of ownership) transparency, full OTIF calculation algorithms and contribute to development of reliable, comprehensive and enhanced performance reporting metrics.

    In close alignment with the GSC Operations team, you will source the primary and secondary research data that develop the approach, capabilities and implementation of above transparency across supply chain functions and support the teams in their continuous improvement efforts, balanced with smooth daily operations.

    You will be part of the Global Supply Chain Operations Leadership Team.

    Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Assess the integrity of data reported and address data issues at the root cause; recommend processes and documentation to drive supply chain data quality.
  • Build, maintain and enhance business applications, reporting and analysis solutions with a focus on maintaining the integrity of the business application, data and system.
  • Enhance and propose a comprehensive metrics databases for process oversight of end-to-end cost.
  • Collaborate with management team to identify upgrades and development of new functionality with current business applications.
  • Partner with internal and external departments to identify business needs and develop solution recommendations to improve processes and detail of data
  • Drive project and information management initiatives that increase effectiveness and efficiency of GSC Operations.
  • Carry out data validation and quality control checks on which to base recommendations necessary to achieve supply chain data integrity and cleanliness.
  • Advise, train and contribute to the performance management of process improvement engineers’ mechanisms for data issue tracking, problem-solving resolution and closure communications.
  • Create a data transformation roadmap to achieve supply chain performance metrics transparency supporting sustainable business improvements
  • We are looking for the following skills and qualifications :

  • High proficiency in data extraction
  • Advanced Degree in a scientific field such as IT, Engineering or related field
  • At least 7+ years of high supply chain experience in reporting and analytics using SAP, BI and Excel functionality with ability to master various data comparison tools, write and execute macros, validate data and run scenarios is required.
  • Demonstrable ability to synthesize large quantities of process and technical information and present definitive recommendations to multiple organizational levels is required.
  • Ability to analyze, design, implement and support supply chain feasibility assessments
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Requires excellent problem solving and analytical skills to resolve a variety of routine and complex issues.
  • Strong process mapping experience
  • Project management, consulting and change management skills desired
