What it's about

We are looking for a Project Manager / Business Analyst to support Partners Group's People Department (HR) and its People Leadership Team (PLT) in completing a transformation.

We are transforming from a regionally organized model focused primarily on operational execution to a globally managed model that is aligned to our business Departments to better support their people and culture strategies.

In this hybrid role the successful candidate will act as both project manager and business analyst to manage the effective execution of the transformation to its conclusion, by :

  • Partnering with the PLT to own the transformation roadmap and project plan
  • Ensuring that communication with stakeholders is effectively designed, managed and executed
  • Engaging with subject matter experts at the appropriate points and deliver to requirements
  • Analysing the project plan, requirements and incorporating feedback to be able to make recommendations to the PLT for changes to the road map, plan or deliverables as required
  • Reviewing the Operating model overall and recommending improvements to relevant processes (including assessing its activities) within the units and across functions
  • The scope of the role is :

    Ensuring the vision is understood

    The Project Manager / Business Analyst should :

  • Test whether the communication of the vision has been effective both within the People department and in the broader organization
  • perform a gap analysis to identify the areas where either the vision or its communication has not been effective and
  • design and execute a plan to improve and evolve the communication strategy including a transformation journey map for stakeholders
  • Implementing the operating model within the People Department

    The Project Manager / Business Analyst will ensure with the PLT that everyone in the Department understands :

    What" changes for individuals and the immediate team, in terms of day-to-day responsibilities and tasks

    How" the service model is changing for the Department, and how teams will work together to deliver for business

  • New process / activity workflows
  • Deliverables include :

  • In partnership with the People Leadership team, ensure the target operating model (TOM) is finalized, understood and functional at all levels of the Department, including the clarification and documentation of the People department s service catalogue by area (including Operations & Services, HRSSC, CoE's and People Partners)
  • Map the high-level processes within and across the functions (including activity mapping) to complete a current state analysis
  • Refine the organizational charts for the Department based on the structure designed
  • Identify potential areas where there is lack of clarity / definition and make recommendations on how to address
  • Clearly document roles and responsibilities in each unit for each level including developing job descriptions, progression guidelines, harmonizing titles and establishing an approach for role development
  • Identify skills and capability gaps and recommends to the PLT training requirements and potential future resource needs
  • Suggest how changed roles are filled and establish the approach under which individuals can apply for available roles, if relevant
  • The candidate will be required to keep everyone on top of the roadmap by ensuring timely delivery in-line with the agreed project plan

    Implementing the service model with the business

    The Project Manager / Business Analyst will :

  • Recommend a communication plan for the People Department's Leadership Team, with consideration of transitioning client support from a regional service model to a globally, business aligned model
  • Ensures the People Department is equipped with communication tools and templates for their respective clients, so clients understand where to find self-service data and who to contact for each topic
  • What we expect

    The successful candidate will have most of these attributes :

  • Relevant Project Management and Business Analyst experience with at least 5 or more years of experience working directly in or for transforming HR organizations with multi-jurisdictional teams
  • Experience in analysing operating models, mapping services, processes and workflows in the HR functions and to report ways to change and / or improve them
  • Able to create, use and apply relevant tools and templates which help to drive the transformation forward. Digital savvy and structured in the approach
  • Has experience in communicating effectively to different stakeholders and audiences
  • Will be self-driven, resilient and able to manage changing priorities
  • Will develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Takes initiative and consistently delivers results of the highest quality, taking accountability and ownership for their work and for the HR function as a whole
  • Is able to adapt in order to support business needs effectively
