The IS Application Manager is part of the IS supply organization and will be part of the team responsible for delivering and supporting local applications.

The core responsibility of the IS Application Manager is to ensure stability and integrity of local non-ERP applications.

As an IS Application Manager you will qualifying business request for local applications and their adaption and implementation.

Ensures the quality of the service and keeps it aligned with the business needs to maintain a high-end user satisfaction.

Takes end to end responsibility for the particular applications from both support and development perspective, having significant contribution into the current and future services delivered to the business.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaboration with IS Service Managers, IS Application Owner, IS Business Engagement Manager and Business Process Owner to understand business needs and estimate the effort for IS solution / services development including change requests and releases
  • Document business needs in details and translating the requirements for development / support teams
  • Shape and align IS solution / services building and delivery activities
  • Cooperating with development team, quality assurance team, user experience team to ensure understanding of business and users’ needs
  • Assisting in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS Services
  • Being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relevant area of responsibility, contributing technical and business process / data expertise to either support ongoing operations or develop new software
  • Supporting Business Partners in the qualification of the business request for assigned services
  • Supporting the installation of new IS solutions / services, or the changing of existing IS solutions / services
  • Validation of the developed solution
  • Preparing necessary documentation for the IS support
  • Supporting in incident and problem resolution
  • Your background

  • At least 3 years of experience with managing application / services or implementation projects / processes
  • Experience of working with IT service management concepts (ITIL), in general and how the various processes are connected to each other
  • Very good knowledge of business processes and requirement engineering
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
  • Understanding of technical aspects of an application
  • Methodical competence in implementing of business requirements to IT systems
  • Independent and quality oriented as well as able to convince and inspire
  • Experience in working with internal and external suppliers
  • Ability to promote a team environment with strong leadership skills
  • Fluency in German and English are essential (written and spoken)
