Under the supervision of the Center Administrator, the Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the Carolina SeniorCare transportation program, including transport of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary.
Responsible for hiring, training and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers. Oversees vehicle repairs and maintenance.
Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals. Serves as Chairperson of the Safety Committee.
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation. Must be able to meet Carolina SeniorCare's auto insurance carrier's standards for coverage.
Education : High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Valid North Carolina Drivers License, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
Experience : Two (2) years of administrative / supervisory experience, in a transportation setting. Five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry.
Have (1) years experience in working with the frail or elderly population.
