S / he will possess hands-on experience with Network and Security tools and will be responsible for the maintenance, operations, support of the network, security operations.
The candidate should be experienced in working in a diverse operational environment and will provide technical insight in designing and supporting network and security solutions while aligning to the Finastra's Corporate and InfoSec best practices.
The role will also be responsible for planning, coordinating & implementing the solutions. The person in this position must possess the ability to perform Network and Security engineering tasks for a large environment involving network hardware, security devices, and security administration and including day to day operational support functions.
The position requires strong coordination, ability to work across different cross technical groups and own, lead the efforts with minimal supervision.
What you will do - Essential Responsibilities
Communicate regularly both orally and in writing at various levels to include management, and other engineers and developers
Focus on designing, architecting, implementing and operationalizing Network / Security solutions that are highly available and resilient by utilizing best practices in network engineering, and multi-region design strategies
Partner with multiple business and application teams to provide guidance and patterns for building and deploying the solutions
Partner with the Cyber Security team to ensure that environments meet Finastra security standards
Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing management of various cloud technologies
Build, maintain and support networks, and systems for scalability, resiliency, availability, and recovery
You will stay on top of industry trends and best practices to continually improve what we do, how we do it and ensure our internal customer experience is always improving
Responsibilities & Deliverables :
Senior Network Engineer with strong understanding of structured network design with ISP / ASP, SaaS, Cloud experience in the networking industry focusing on routing, switching and security.
Must have hands-on experience with the following :
Cisco, F5, major operating systems
Fortigate, Firewalls, IDS, Threat Management
Experience with load balancing techniques and best practices
Web application firewalls
Experience with industry standard security tools, like Cyberark, CMDB, Defender ATP, Qualys, SIME, etc.
Linux, AD, LDAP, Domain Controllers VMWare, RedHat Satellite, scripting / automation are plus
Internal and external network segregation and related best practices
Disaster recovery in a hot-site environments
Global Load Balancers
Establishing internal and external network security scans, vulnerability testing and monitoring
Ability to working with external and internal auditors to establish and maintain compliance programs
Cisco routing / Switching certification
Working knowledge of VMware networking and associated best practices
Working knowledge of installing Certificates and Certification Authorities
Day to day support .
After ours and weekend support on a rotation basis
Provide Load Balancing guidance and Load Balancing expertise
Create and Document detailed troubleshooting techniques for the global team members
Introduce and standardize engineering documentation for network changes
Introduce standardized network diagram and documentation templates for all of remote sites
Assist in pinpointing networking deficiencies regarding routing, switching, security and load balancing
Resolve security issues by cleaning up redundant rules and adding general rules on Checkpoint firewalls (VPN1)
Network Engineering Level 3 support
Connectivity design and roll out project
Load Balancing, routing and switching, IPSec, P2P VPN, SSL, Nexus 7k experience
Patch management and automation

Good written and verbal communications skills are a requirement, since the job will require frequent communication with both technical and non-technical team members as well as vendors, clients
Must be able to work independently and as part of a global team and handle multiple high-priority projects, as well as supporting functions simultaneously to make the best technical decisions
Strong time, schedule management and organizational skills
The ability to learn new systems quickly.
Ability to perform root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Required Experience :
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of comparable experience.
Current Certification or be able to show proof of working towards obtaining one in the near future.
At least 4+ years of experience supporting similar projects.
8+ years of relevant IT experience in large / complex IT architecture environments
Possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively.
Able to work well with clients and team members of all levels.

Experience designing and building Azure virtual data centers including ARM templates, network architecture, perimeter security, and ASR.
Experience building Azure governance including subscription design, resource groups, and RBAC policies.
Have hands-on experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS
