Job Description
This position is a highly visible role in Galderma R&D. In an innovative and dynamic environment, you will be attached to the Head of Translational Medicine and will be responsible for leading various data science and bioinformatic activities for all clinical pipeline projects with the aim to delineate mechanism of action and to identify biomarkers.
Job Responsibilities
Lead omics analysis with external data scientists, biostatisticians, and big data specialists
Responsible for analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting multidimensional omics data for all clinical pipeline projects
Identify novel analytical techniques (including AI / ML approaches) towards defining mechanism of action and biomarker identification
Define analysis strategy for pharmacogenomics, transcriptomics and proteomics analysis in all translational medicine studies
Work in collaboration with TM team members for omics data interpretation and analysis
Build data sharing platforms, analytic systems and predictive models
Lead data science collaborations with several academic partners
Author various documents including publications and clinical study reports as well as present data to key internal and external stakeholders
Align data projects with organizational goals
Requirements :
Advanced degree (Ph.D or M.S) in bioinformatics, statistics, data science
Previous experience in immunology or dermatology therapeutic areas preferred
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role
Good knowledge of R & Python
Extensive experience in omics data analysis (including bulk and single cell transcriptomics, genomic variant identification and analysis, quantitative proteomics), visualization and interpretation
Successful experience of multicultural teamwork and supervision of independent research
Previous knowledge of experimental genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics as well as integrative omics analysis is extremely desirable
Previous experience of working with academia including strong publication record would be desirable
