Job Summary : Works closely with project teams and other internal customers to make export licensing requirements determinations.
Prepares export license and ITAR Agreement (TAA / MLA) applications and administers approved licenses and authorizations.
This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Works closely with programs to anticipate export licensing requirements, and monitors program execution to assure compliance requirements are met.

Minimum Job Requirements :
Four-year college degree in a business or technical specialty, advanced degree in related field desirable, plus a minimum of six years of experience in international trade compliance with an emphasis on defense trade licensing and administration.
Must have, or be able to obtain a US DoD Secret security clearance. Expert level knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) required.
Experience with both direct commercial sale and FMS contracts for sales to foreign governments. Strong communication abilities including professional level business writing skills.
Experience with ITAR licensing and administration for military communications (ITAR Cat IX and XIII) required. Experience with military and commercial training and simulations systems, and management of defense services under USG contracts, or to foreign military customers is desirable.
Familiarity with U.S. Customs Regulations, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) import permitting preferred.
