In order to strengthen our Continuous Improvement & Quality team, we are looking for a Continuous Improvement & Project Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for execution of (LEAN) projects, and deployment of the Continuous Improvement Strategy in the Continuous Improvement & Quality team in Operations at ABB Turbocharging in Baden.
Reporting to the Head of Continuous Improvement & Quality, your focus will be to increase productivity and contribute to a lean factory to gain efficiency and speed.
Furthermore, in your role you are responsible for progress of the projects in the product group and report directly to the management.
You will collaborate with other CI teams, production, quality management, management, and other project managers.
Responsible for planning and coordination of (lean) projects and track progress and report progress to the management, to ensure achievement of required results.
Represent the product group as a Continuous Improvement Manager in the Global CI Team and rollout topics from CI Global throughout the organization.
Create awareness of Lean Management throughout the organization and promote continuous improvement and provide appropriate trainings.
Continuous improvement should be an integral part of the company culture.
As a continuous Improvement Manager, you act as an internal consultant, to develop strategies to incorporate Lean Management, Agile, and other practices.
Coach and support project managers in execution of their projects. Visualize processes in CI, document them and train people accordingly.
Lead and execute (lean) projects to reduce waste and gain efficiency & speed with a special focus on productivity increase in operations, with practical implications.
Contribute to identifying opportunities in operations to improve processes and gain efficiency & speed, using Lean Management Toolboxes (e.
g. Muda, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Lay-Out Planning).
Collaborate with other CI Departments in the organization, and with the production, R&D and Quality Management.
A bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in LEAN Management, Project Management, and / or Continuous Improvement (certificates as an advantage)
A proven track record in leading successful projects and initiatives in the production, having a hands-on mentality to ensure practical implications
Highly collaborative and good communication skills at all levels in the organization
Strong leadership skills
Analytical skills and ability to interpret analyzes to propose sustainable solutions
Fluent in German and English
