Due to the current incumbent moving internally, we are now hiring a Plant Manager for our Manufacturing site in Lachen, Switzerland.

Job Description :

The Plant Manager serves as member of the Site Senior Management Team, representing Manufacturing, and reports into the VP Manufacturing EMEA, while having the overall responsibility to plan, direct, control and develop all manufacturing activities wihin the Lachen site.

Your main responsibilities include :

  • Overall management of all manufacturing operations, including Compounding, Filling and Assembly, Technical Support, Capital Investment, and support functions indirectly, such as planning, quality assurance and component warehousing.
  • Ensure and maintain sustainable and compliant processes within Lachen manufacturing according to Corporate guidelines and regulatory specifications.
  • Deliver expected results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People. This includes active direction setting, performance management and data driven decision making.
  • Ensure alignment of all Lachen manufacturing activities to the global supply chain strategy and effectively cascading it down to the whole organization.
  • Ensure that products are manufactured on schedule, consistently within high quality standards, in a cost effective manner, with optimum inventory and reaching defined yearly targets.
  • Establish current and long-range objectives and sets adequate operating plans for future developments, as well as develop manufacturing facility, Site Master Plan according to the strategic business growth, while conforming to GMP and Corporate guidelines.
  • Lead the technical and financial feasibilities as required for new programs and the assignment of each new product to a production line by ensuring all resources (people, process, materials and equipment) are managed in a quality, timely, productive and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for security, safety and environment in the plant according to Corporate standards and drive programs like BBS to achieve a 0 accident culture.
  • Qualifications

    We are looking for someone who brings :

  • 10+ years of proven successful Supply Chain experience in similar industries with minimum 3 years in Manufacturing in a comparable role.
  • University Degree in Production, Engineering or Chemistry
  • Business fluency in English and German
  • Regulatory understanding GMP / ISO 14001
  • Professional expertise in driving Continuous Improvement and deployment of LEAN manufacturing
  • Sound interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as excellent communication skills at all levels within the organization
  • Strong mechanical and technical flair for machines and process environment
  • Conceptual thinker as well as strong executor, with a quality and performance oriented thinking
  • Strong coach and able to develop talents and capabilities, while being an active change agent
