The Challenge

As the EMEA Regional QA Manager within ANH, you will represent the global Quality function within the region for all premix activities related to the integrated quality system.

The position is performed within a challenging, fast changing and competitive environment and requires a high degree of networking and interfacing skills, and frequent travel within the EMEA region to sites, suppliers and customers.

This position will preferably be based in Kaiseraugst, near Basel in Switzerland but other locations are also open for consideration.

The Position

  • Lead the culture change for quality behaviour and Q-value support and ensure all Quality requirements are implemented.
  • Coordinate and support for the local Quality Assurance Managers of 6-8 sites to all relevant operational activities and providing necessary training.
  • Evaluate the integrated QA system via regional audits, reports and Q-process data analysis.
  • Coach and challenge the team members on their career path in line with the DSM leadership model
  • Consult ANH Global QM for the global and regional strategic direction in Quality, proposing topics, objectives & projects and align annual resource planning within the region
  • Encourage continuous improvement based on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in all manufacturing and Marketing & Sales (M&S) areas
  • Supplier Quality Management of raw material suppliers, including definition of specification, approval, auditing, monitoring, evaluation and assessment
  • Monitor KPIs and set globally aligned targets to ensure quality performance reporting
  • Coordinate local quality plans and budgets, and support premix capital project definition.
  • Support the M&S teams managing individual customer issues
  • Participate or lead the regional Emergency Team in case of recall or other crisis situations.
  • The Ideal

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or Feed / Food Technology
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems, production processes and risk assessments, with at least 5 years’ experience in nutrition or chemical manufacturing
  • Experience in quality systems management such as ISO 9001 / GMP / HACCP
  • Able to provide effective remote support and to lead across cultures and communicate effectively
  • Strong project management skills, with leadership and ownership mindset to represent the quality discipline at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Extensive experience managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic business environment
