The Global Medical Information Senior Manager is accountable for the planning and execution of the global Vaccines Medical Information strategy as well as for the integration and implementation of process, tools and technology efficiencies in VBU.
This function is responsible for coordination and oversight of the :
Management of response content for global Vaccines candidates and products to ensure compliance, consistency and alignment across Local Operating Company (LOC) medical information groups.
Establishment of a robust approach to intelligent assessment and early detection of patterns in requests for information and lead appropriate and integrated responses to signals that are strategically and business critical for the organization.
Provision of direct medical information services to areas without medical information service coverage and provides scientific / medical support to regional, Medical, Commercial and others in VBU as requested.
Development and maintenance of relevant procedures and ensure robust communication and training frameworks for the Takeda Medical Information community, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
Monitoring and communication of Vaccines Medical Information best practices to respective Vaccines Medical Committees and Boards (e.
g. Global Medical Strategy Team) as well as within the Medical Information community in Takeda.
Acquisition and maintenance of vaccines and therapeutic-specific knowledge to develop and maintain global responses and guide LOCs in developing responses.
Training on the system and processes for LOC medical information representatives as deemed needed.
Development and excellence in medical information systems processes and delivery in VBU.
Participation in Global and Regional Medical Affairs meetings, covering Medical Information and represent GMI, Vaccines.
Leverages global initiatives to support regional and local Vaccines Medical Information activities.
In addition, the Global Medical Information Senior Manager will :
Be present at scientific congresses (Takeda booths) as required.
Be responsible for scientific information contained in Takeda’s Global promotional and non-promotional Vaccines materials such as but not limited to medical communication materials, training materials, materials for advisory boards and others (covering our activities as sat.
symposia, congresses and more) is accurate, not misleading and is medically appropriate, compliant and relevant.
Take responsibility for the content as well-substantiated by scientific data by verifying that the content is accurately cited / properly referenced according to the key scientific messaging based on Global Medical strategy;
check authenticity and validity of references; that references in future promotional materials support future product claims specifically and ensure the context of the reference is appropriately reflected in the promotional claim(s).
Pharmacist, life science (e.g. biology) with a PhD or equivalent degree.
3-7 years pharmaceutical industry / especially vaccines business experience is preferred
3-5 years prior exposure to Global / Regional Medical Information experiences (e.g. in call centers); vaccine experience is preferred
2+ years leading a Global Medical Information team, preferred in the Vaccine area.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :
Willingness to travel to various Takeda meetings, including overnight trips.
Some international travel may be required. Requires up to 20% travel.
