Carrying out his / her tasks under the Chief of the LDC Section, duties may include, but are not limited to :
2. Provide the receiving departments / offices with a copy of all materials prepared by them during the internship. 5. Refrain from any conduct that would adversely reflect on the UN or on the receiving department / office and will not engage in any activity which is incompatible with the aims and objectives of the UN.

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, applicants must meet one of the following requirements :

The University degree must be in the area of economics, political science, development studies or any related area.

According to article 101, paragraph 3, of the Charter of the United Nations, the paramount consideration in the employment of the staff is the necessity of securing the highest standards of efficiency, competence, and integrity.
