With the creation of Deloitte NWE our Cyber team has grown rapidly. We have the largest Cyber capability of the big 4 in the European marketplace with over 600 Cyber Risk Specialists staffing thousands of client projects.

The team combines a wealth of deep industry knowledge with both business advisory experience and technical expertise. Within this team, we provide our clients a full spectrum of cyber compliance and privacy services, from ad hoc compliance assessments and GDPR readiness work to large-scale transformation programmes, supporting our clients in meeting regulatory requirements and bringing real, long-lasting benefits.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and contribute to business development and sales activities with a practical and consultative approach and emphasising good business sense, persistence and determination to act upon opportunities promptly.
  • Generate leads and establish credibility with current and prospective clients by demonstrating specialist knowledge of various aspects of data protection, information security and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in penetrating the market and selling value-added services to support clients with data protection, information security and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and potential clients as part of the negotiation and sales process and quickly adjust selling techniques based on insight(s) obtained from client reactions and feedback.
  • Develop and nurture contact between functions and departments, identify specialists with appropriate skills and experience, and co-ordinate efforts to provide successful engagement propositions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other parts of the organisation and around the globe to design and develop valuable and long-lasting solutions for Swiss and international clients.
  • Translate broader strategy into a compelling team vision and goals; align the team and set priorities to achieve objectives.
  • Manage project teams through effective people leadership, demonstrating inclusive people management skills.
  • Provide guidance and actively help to develop more junior staff and support them to expand their expertise and leadership skills.
  • What you need

  • 5+ years’ experience in a role with a focus on the development and delivery of multiple, complex service offering or industry projects.
  • Strong understanding of the entire ecosystem of information and data protection regulations.
  • Solid experience in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of information protection strategies and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Data Protection related methodologies, e.g., Data Loss Prevention, Access Management, Data Management, Governance frameworks.
  • A passion for information and cyber as well as broad experiences beyond data protection, e.g., in incident response, crisis management, identity and access management, vulnerability management, application protection.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience of developing strong relationships while demonstrating significant influencing abilities, either as a external consultant or as a staff member within an organisation.
  • Ability to build and manage senior-level relationships and a demonstrated working knowledge of market trends and client needs.
  • A track record of developing and implementing office-marketing programs and identifying new selling opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in business development or advisory, e.g. through experience with a Big4, law firm, or technology consulting firm, or equivalent experience in the design and go-to-market approach of solutions to address highest stakeholder expectations.
  • Highly fluent English skills, both written and verbal, are required; German or French skills are strongly desired. One of these three languages must be native level.
