The Department of Mathematics at the University of Mississippi invites applications to fill one tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning in August 2019.
A successful applicant will be expected to teach two courses per semester and conduct a vigorous research program with a potential for external funding.
The successful applicant should have the ability at the time of hire to direct doctoral research.
A PhD in Mathematics, Statistics or a related field, earned no later than August 15, 2019 is required. We encourage applications from outstanding candidates in areas compatible with the current research interests of the department, as well as those with an interdisciplinary, applied, or computational focus.

The Mathematics Department consists of eighteen tenure / tenure-track professors, one instructional and three visiting professors, ten instructors, and about 30 graduate students.
